Julie of The Haven Team saved my home from going into foreclosure.   I struggled for months to keep my mortgage payments on time even when I got laid off from the well-paying position I had when I purchased the house.  But I knew it was only a matter of time before I would fall behind and eventually not be able to pay the mortgage at the amount it was every month.
This is when Julie came into my life.  A friend of mine gave me Julie’s information and I called her.  Very quickly after that, we met for the first time.  I had already tried to contact my mortgage company at this point and apply for a loan modification.  I was denied.
Julie’s compassionate and caring nature, told me that I had found an angel in this world.  When I asked her how she gets paid to do take on mortgage companies like this, she just modestly said, I don’t get paid.  It makes my heart happy to help people and this is how I give back.  She literally brought me to tears because I was not expecting her to say that she does this for people for free.  

After we met, she engaged with my mortgage company immediately, and went to bat for me.  She stayed on top of the situation, consistently contacting them and working through an arduous process that came out, in the end, modifying my loan to an amount that I could afford.  And I was able to keep my house and stop the financial mess that I knew was ahead of me if I would never had met Julie.
She has helped so many people who are struggling to keep from losing their homes, and now I am one of them, too.  I cannot thank Julie enough, honestly, for what she has done for me and my family.  My children get to stay in their home, and my financial life is now not in ruin. 
Thank you, Julie Maeda, for being you and the beautiful person you are.  I know that you will continue to help many, many people in the future, who are as desperate as I was to save their homes, and to find someone who truly cares about what is happening to them in this economy.
